Information and contacts with respect to services and policies established by your Community with respect to Electrical and Water service interruptions
Electrical Issues:
If electric power to your home is out, first check with your neighbors. If your neighbor’s have power, and you do not, you will need to contact an electrician on your own. If you do not have an electrician, we will provide you with the phone number of an electrician. You will work with the electrician to provide access to diagnose this and make the repairs. If you believe that this repair is not your responsibility, make certain that the invoices clearly document the entire matter including itemized time and materials. Submit the paid invoice to our offices along with a request for reimbursement and contact information and we will refund you any monies that you are entitled to.
Something to consider are the costs of after-hours service calls. Evenings and weekends are often double the billing rate during the working day. Depending upon your situation, you may want to consider this when you schedule an appointment.
There are two very good and fairly priced Electricians that we use at many of our communities. They are listed at the bottom of the page. Don provides 24 hour emergency services and Power Electric should also. However, we are not permitted to encourage you to use them. We are just sharing our personal experience with you.
Water and Miscellaneous Issues
If your home is affected with sewage backup or no water service for example, first check with your neighbors. If your neighbor’s do not have these problems, you will need to contact a plumber on your own. If you do not have a plumber or person to handle your problem, we will provide you with the phone number of qualified tradesmen used by your community. You will work with them to provide access to your home to diagnose the problems and make the repairs. If you believe that any repair is not your responsibility, make certain that the invoice clearly document the entire matter including itemized time and materials. Submit the paid invoice to our offices along with a request for reimbursement and contact information and we will refund you any monies that you are entitled to.
