Here are some signs:
...Director fatigue ...Tasks seem overwhelming ...Progress seems miniscule ...Projects seem to drag on ...Micro-management though undesirable achieves results ...General dissatisfaction of members ...General lethargy of the Board ...No Director Relief in Sight!
Is it time to change management????
Here is an easy way to tackle this question. Check us out. Professionals do not hard sell, high pressure or badger. We provide management options, procedures and styles for your Board to consider. We provide solutions tailored to your community. Here what we have to say. If it makes good sense, if it is affordable, if it feels right - the decision has been made for you. If not, I can assure you that your time will still be very well spent.
Still interested? The next step would be a meeting with your Board. When we meet with your Board, we will not be meeting to make a presentation. The information provided in this site and additional mailings if requested, will save you from a “Dog and Pony Show”.
What we hope to accomplish with a meeting of your Board is a review of your procedures, policies, and expectations with respect to the various aspects of Association Management.
For example, our standard practice for an on-going violation - say for a resident having tin foil in their window would be a polite violation notice, then a firm violation notice, then an attorney letter. What are your policies? What are the Boards’ expectations with rules violations? What do you like about the way your current management company handles these matters? What do you not like?
We would also like to review your documents ahead of time if possible. Prior to or during the meeting, we would like a brief tour of your community with your Board or a representative who fully understands all issues and concerns.
Having done this with other Boards for many years, the comments that we get are most positive. Boards’ feel that it takes the interviewing process to a higher level.
Our meeting will not focus upon the trivia. We will delve into your history and processes that make your community unique. We will strive to understand the expectations and the needs of the Board and the Community
This assessment of the Board and the Association's needs will give us a very good feel for what you want, need and expect in the way of management services. You will, by the end of our meeting, have a very good feel for how we do business and the level and quality of service that you can expect from us. You might say that this meeting will either “make us or break us”!
The ball is now in your court. Give me a call at 813-930-8036 x 308. I monitor my calls and return them quickly. I look forward to hearing from you!
Sincerely,
Bob Moyer, President The Vanguard Management Group, Inc. |
